THIS TRIP IS OFFERED ONLY TO “POTENTIAL AND RETURNING” GHS
VARSITY & JV1 SOFTBALL PLAYERS, Grades 9-12
MEETING DATE: January 19th, 2020 @ 12:00pm, 79 Washington Street, Gloucester MA (Nicastro’s Driving School) to discuss the details of the upcoming field trip to the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida.
THE TRIP: Takes place during April Vacation and is a great opportunity for our GHS Softball team to get in some spring training under the direction of professional instructors before our spring GHS Softball season begins. In addition to the training, the girls will have the opportunity to participate in some other fun recreational activities and spend time together bonding with new teammates!
PARTICIPANTS: Space is limited to just 24 Softball Players! You will need to be selected for the GHS 2020 Softball Varsity or JV1 Roster (please note: Tryouts for softball are being held sometime in March). You must also be in Grades 9-12. Varsity team players will have the first opportunity to sign up for the trip, followed by JV1 players on a first come, first serve basis.
TRIP EXPENSES INCLUDE: Airfare, ground transportation (in Florida), lodging, meals, and all training activities!
COST: As of January 9, 2020, Approximately $1,200.00 per/person. The Softball Booster’s Program (with the help of last year’s teammates and parents) are hosting fundraising events to help defray trip costs for participants.

The Jackie Robinson Training Complex High School Softball Spring Training program provides an all-encompassing experience for teams, including our new state-of-the-art softball facility, dining and recreation, saving your group valuable time, energy and expense. This means more time for both on-field and off-field team activities to build that championship feeling.
